HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR BRAND IN ONE SENTENCE?

A joyful experience of unusual fun and pure happiness.

WE’RE CURIOUS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS, TELL US ABOUT IT.

Well, I’ll start with my inspiration. I don’t necessarily look for it, it can come from anywhere. Whether it’s a book, a movie, an illustration, a drawing, a comment, a cool breeze, or a sip of water any of those things have the potential to become a sketch, then a technical drawing. From technical drawings they become patterns that become technical charts, then fabrics are introduced and sewing begins.  Finally, the sewing part of the process transforms that fleeting thought into something tangible that can be worn and used to express oneself.

HOW DO YOU USE LECTRA’S KALEDO SOLUTION IN YOUR WORK?

I use it in every step of my creative process—in the creation of a print with Kaledo Print, in the knit manipulation using Kaledo Knit and in the final finish by utilizing Kaledo Style. I find the solution very user-friendly and intuitive. In addition, understanding pattern-making and the programming of the knit enables me to create an image that is closer to reality than a manual drawing would be.

WHAT DO YOU FIND THE MOST INTERESTING, AND USEFUL, ABOUT KALEDO?

The fact that the entire solution, and all of its components, is designed specifically for fashion and works to achieve one goal: greatly enrich the illustration so that when I present it to others it is easily understood by their eyes and ears.

WHAT ASPECT DO YOU CONSIDER MOST INTERESTING, AND USEFUL, ABOUT MODARIS?

I believe that Modaris is a huge step forward for the evolution of modeling because it eliminates the paper and limits the number of prototype phases. Also, the solution is quite complete and creates simultaneous gradation which aids in overall product development.

HOW HAS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH LECTRA TECHNOLOGY, AND SPECIALISTS IMPACTED, YOUR WORK AND THE FUTURE OF YOUR BUSINESS?

It has had a huge impact already. With every human exchange and exchange of knowledge I feel that I grow as a person and a professional. This impact differentiates my way of thinking and understanding of my designs.

HOW DO YOU SEE THE FASHION INDUSTRY TODAY IN BRAZIL? WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES FOR YOUR CREATION IN A COUNTRY LIKE BRAZIL?

The fashion industry in Brazil is a bit straight-laced, which leads to little risk taking.   With my design aesthetic, which I would describe as playful, my biggest challenge is to go against the belief that “it´s too colorful and therefore not elegant”.

I believe that through my designs my role is to try to show people that elegance comes from inside, not what you are wearing.  I believe that [in Brazil] we must embrace this opportunity to enjoy a different type of design that is happy and alive with colors, not just basic black.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR 2016? AND FOR FIVE YEARS FROM NOW?

In 2016, I will launch my e-commerce and in 5 years I would love to have a retail location!

HOW DO YOU SEE YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH LECTRA IN THE FUTURE, OR HOW DO YOU SEE THE IMPORTANCE OF TECHNOLOGY IN THE FUTURE FOR YOUR WORK?

I am increasingly enchanted with Lectra’s work and dynamic. In addition to being extremely professional, their solutions help small businesses, like mine, grow faster than they traditionally would.  Since the implementation of Lectra in my creative and production process, I can’t imagine living without it!
